Election Department constitute committee to certify commercial

State Election Department here today constituted a certification committee of officials comprising of Election Dept,, government owned media houses and information &Public Relation Department to certify commercials during the bye-election, a  press release issued said.
The spokespersons of the Government said that state level committee would deal with applications from political 
parties and organizations for certification of advertisements on television channels, cable networks, radio, video and social media websites during the by-elections from Mandi parliamentary constituency and Fatehpur, Arki and Jubbal-Kotkhai Assembly constituencies.
The committee to be headed by the Adl Chief Electoral Officer-cum-Joint Secretary (Elections) 
while District Election Officer (DC) Shimla, Station Directors of AIR and DD Kendra, Shimla, Jt. Director, IPR Department, Assistant Director (News) AIR Shimla and social media expert from the office of DIPR would be members of this committee.
The committee would deal the applications for certification of advertisements on television channels, cable networks, radio, video, social media websites by the all registered political parties, and all organizations or group of persons or associations having their registered offices in the State, spokespersonadded.
Interestingly no member from non government news organisations and new agencies would be shortlisted for the committee by the state election department
