Dozen of houses gutted in fire at ancient Malana village, One sustain burn injuries CM expresses grief

A major fire broke today in Himachal’s ancient Malana Dharavehad village in Kullu district rendered 150 people homeless in the snowfall, fire was now under control, state Disaster management authority informed.
Spokesperson of SDMA, Sudesh Mokta said that massive fire broke out in the Malana village (Kullu) at 0128hrs in the morning.
The blazes doused down by the local fire fighters, now under control and it have caused massive loss to the property. It was snowing in village when fire broke out. 

The preliminary information said that about 16 houses completely burnt in this incident.
The revenue and  Administrative officials are present at the spot and further  damage assessment continues.

Sub-divisional officer Bhuntar also confirmed that 16 house are fully burntand one person is injured however no loss of life is reported in the fire and relief material has been dispatched to the affected village.  
As many as 150 people became homeless in the chilling coldwave, he said.
Chief Minister express grief over the misshap and directed the district administration to visit the incident site and provide the relief and rehabilitation to the affected families.

Deputy Commissioner Kullu Ashutosh Garg along-with other officers visited the spot and supervised the relief works.
It is worthwhile to mention that Malana Dharavehad is one of oldest ancient village in landlocked Kullu district of Himachal where normal life is govern by the will of local (Jagdamnu dev) deity, also being reffer as oldest democracy.
