Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, while addressing a press conference in the capital Shimla, said that today former President of Bharatiya Janata Party and Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed Hatti Aabhar rally at Sataun in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh the Hatti community thanked the Union Minister for fulfilling the demand of giving tribal status to the Hatti community, pending for 55 years. He said that the previous governments always ignored the demand of Hatti. While former Chief Minister has also been from Sirmaur district. He also clarified that giving tribal status to Hatti will not affect the rights of Scheduled Castes. Their status and reservation will remain the same.
He said that the country’s illustrious Home Minister and Iron Man Amit Shah has formaly initiated the election campaign in Himachal, today three slogans, one song were launched which has been the resolve of the BJP government in the state. Our government dedicated the slogans of “Sachchi Seva, Achcha Kaam Phir Se BJP Modi-Jayaram”, “Himachal se Jude hai, Himachal ke liye khare hai” as well as the BJP government’s “Vishwas Geet” to the public. This song reflects the resolve of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas, this song narrates the story of “Rivaz” that are going to change in Himachal”. It is not just slogans and songs, it is a resolution, whose accomplishment has been fulfilled by our government.
Those who cry for democracy are themselves putting a question mark on the democratic system. He said that Congress leaders are already raising questions on the safety of EVMs, this is a ploy to hide their failure and defeat. Congress leaders have already conceded defeat before the elections, so they are crying for the safety of EVMs. He said that such mentality is an insult to the security agencies and employees of Himachal.
He asked whether Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh elections were held through ballot paper? Wherever Congress wins elections, the EVMs are fine, where they loose, they blame for their defeat on EVMs.
Suresh Bhardwaj said that former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi used to say that if we send one rupee from here under any scheme, then only 15 paise reaches the ground level. 85 Paisa gets engulfed in corruption prevailing in the system. But today if 1 rupee comes under any scheme then it reaches the grass root level. With the efforts of the Central and State Governments and opening of Jan Dhan accounts of all, now Kisan Samman Nidhi, MNREGA, Social Security Pension reach directly to the beneficiary.
Taking a jibe at the Congress, Bhardwaj said that the Congress is giving random guarantees which are not practical in any way, as it knows that it is difficult to return to power in the state. That’s why people are being misled as it was done in rajasthan and chattisgarh. On the other hand 125 units of free electricity is being given, there is 50 percent discount in bus fare for women and social security pension is given to every person above 60 years of age. All these schemes have been provided by the government of double engine to benefit the common people. He said that the government of double engine in Himachal has benefited every section in one way or the other and made efforts to upgrade their standard of living. Therefore, this time the people will ensure victory for Bharatiya Janata Party returning to power by changing the “Rivaz”.
