Beating Naked Nepali Children in Public: Himachal Police Arrest 6 person under POSCO & IT Act
Himachal Pradesh Police taking cognizance of a viral video of a Nepali boy who was forced to be unclothed and beaten publically after an alleged incident of theft under police post-Tikkar under Rohru Subdivision of Shimla district.
Additional SP Shimla Mr Sunil Negi said that seven people are arrested on Saturday for allegedly involving in forcing a Nepali (14 yrs) to unclothed and beaten him publicly about 100 meters from Tikkar police post on July 31.
He said that action has been taken after the alleged Video was circulated on Social media as seven persons are arrested under POSCO and IT act on Saturday.
He said that police is probing the incident. Mr Negi said that since Vedio was made viral on social media the involved people who were found involved were booked under IT act as uploading the Vedio of boy criminal offenses under the IT act.
According to local people, a Nepali boy was caught red-handed by a shopkeeper stealing some things from shops. He was publicly unclothed by the shopkeeper and beaten for the act. The incident suddenly took a new turn when one person protested over punishing the boy without knowing his plight. A man warned the group of people who were punishing the boy that his mother is ailing for some time.
Local media also reported that the mother of the victim boy succumbed to illness. The incident of July 31 also reported in the news appears in the newspapers.

He said that a 12-15-year-old poor destitute child is stripped naked in the market, mercilessly beaten up, humiliation does not stop here as red chilies were put in his eyes, a child whose mother died a few days ago.
The BJP blamed state police to cover up the matter and booked the person for shooting and making the Video viral on Social media.
