A geological survey should be done in Himachal, and affected people should get 5 Biswa land: Kashyap
A delegation headed by BJP’s Shimla MP and former State President Suresh Kashyap met the Honorable Governor of the State, Shiv Pratap Shukla.
Suresh Kashyap said that we submitted a memorandum to the Governor in which we told him that as you are aware a major disaster has occurred in Himachal Pradesh due to heavy rains, due to which there has been a huge loss of life and property in the state. My parliamentary constituency (Shimla) is also not untouched by this and people are forced to leave their homes and villages and lead a life like refugees. There are many problems in my constituency about which I want to inform you.
He said that a large number of roads under the Shimla parliamentary constituency are blocked and the roads are on the verge of collapse. Guidelines to fix them as soon as possible P.W.D. It should be given to the department so that the common life can get back on track.
A geological survey of the damaged areas of Himachal Pradesh and Shimla Parliamentary Constituency is necessary to get it done, it will become clear whether the land in that area is habitable or not. The people whose land has been damaged should be allotted land at another place instead of the land and those whose land has been completely damaged should be given at least 05 Biswa land for house construction.
In my parliamentary constituency, Doon, Nalagarh, Renuka, Nahan, Paonta Sahib, Chaupal, Kasauli, Kotkhai, Rohru, and Theog have suffered more damage. Where there has been heavy damage to people’s houses/cow shelters, appropriate compensation should be provided after conducting a survey. Apart from this, there has been sporadic damage in other assembly constituencies as well.
In this calamity, the land of many people has been completely destroyed, and their sources of income have also been completely destroyed. I believe that every person should be given financial assistance in large numbers.
More than 6500 houses have been given by the Center under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, These houses should be sent by the state government to the people affected by the disaster. Till the time the house is not constructed, alternative accommodation and food should be arranged.
Monkeys are being distributed in the relief amount which is being given by the state government.
Kashyap said that we request that the report of damage caused by heavy rains should be summoned from the District Magistrate immediately so that appropriate action can be taken on it on time.
MLA Balbir Verma, BJP leader Paramjit Singh Pammi, Lakhwinder Rana, Karn Nanda, Sanjay Sood, and Gaurav Kashyap were present in the delegation.
