10 districts of Himachal are under NDMA alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall
National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) sounds alert of heavy to very heavy rainfall in ten districts of Himachal Pradesh during the next 72 hrs.
According to an SMS issued to people of the state residing in Bilaspur, Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, and Una, NDMA warned that most places likely to have moderate spells of rainfall however in a few places heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur.
Meanwhile, the Division Forest Officer Basu Dogar informed that roads linking to lakes Parasher and Rewalsar in Mandi district developed deep cracks in the hills under the forest division. The concerned forest guard has intimated the department over the development and information further process to the district administration.
He said that the geology expert of IIT Mandi has been requested to visit the spot to find the reason for the crack.
