Accused swallowed 7 gm of heroin, later taken out through endoscopy at IGMC Shimla
ND&PS Act, PS Dhalli, registered yesterday on 16/08/23 that at around 8 AM HC Yogesh and a team of PS Dhalli during patrolling near Cemetery Tunnel, on a tip of vehicle No. HP64A-7756 coming from Sanjauli side was stopped for checking in which 1. Mukul Sharma s/o Sh. Suresh Sharma Vill. Dochi PO Shalaghat Teh. Arki Distt. Solan aged 20 years,2. Happy Chandel s/o Sh. Pratap Singh Vill. VPO Deha Teh. Theog aged 27 years, 3. Saurav Panwar s/o Sh. sita Ram Panwar Vill. Madhan PO Dharampur Teh. Theog aged 24 years, 4. Harsh s/o Sh. Baldev Vill. Timro PO Janedghat Teh. Junga aged 22 years and 5.Shaheen Sultan @ Shalu d/o Mohd. Yusuf Vill. Chakrot PO Mahasu Teh. Kotkhai aged 26 years was sitting in the car. At the same time, Shaheen Sultan took out a small polythene packet from her pocket and put it in her mouth and drank water from the bottle kept in the car, and swallowed it. On interrogation, the youth in the car told that Shahin had swallowed the chitta/ heroin. Her medical examination was done and the substance swallowed by her was removed by endoscopy in IGMC, which on weighing was found to be *7.60 grams of chitta/heroin*. All accused have been arrested and remanded in police custody till tomorrow. The vehicle has been impounded and further investigation is on.
This is a unique case of its own kind in the state where the contraband is swallowed by a girl accused and later taken out through endoscopy by doctors.
