State government committed to the welfare of all sections: CM
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government has made a respectable increase in the honorarium of Panchayat Chowkidars during its tenure. He said that efforts have been made to provide all possible help to the workers who get less honourarium. He was addressing the Abhaar Karyakaram organized by Himachal Pradesh State Panchayat Chowkidar Association here today to thank the Chief Minister for making the Panchayat Chowkidars as daily wagers who have completed 12 years of continuous service.
Chief Minister said that during the current financial year, the honorarium of Panchayat Chowkidars has been increased by Rs. 900 per month. The state government has also increased the minimum wages of unskilled daily wagers from Rs. 210 to Rs. 350. The honorarium of para workers has also been increased, he added.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the government employees and pensioners who play the most important role in the successful implementation of the schemes and programs of the government have been given the benefit of the revised pay scale.
The Chief Minister urged for strengthening the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and providing support in achieving the mission repeat target of the government.
State President Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Himachal Pradesh Madan Rana welcomed the Chief Minister on this occasion.
State General Secretary, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Yashpal Heta, Secretary Dinesh Sharma, former President Surendra Thakur, President Panchayat Chowkidar Sangh Tarsem Singh and other officials and Panchayat Chowkidars from all the districts of the state were present on this occasion.
