Schools remain closed till July 25 in the Nirmand subdivision of the Kullu district

Subdivision Magistrate Nirmand of Kullu district Mr. Manmohan Singh ordered to keep all winter closing Government and Private schools situated in Subdivision Nirmand to remain closed till July 25, 2023.  

The notification issued here said that numerous link roads and rural roads are still blocked or affected due to heavy rains and landslides. He said that Sub Division is witnessing heavy rainfall and there is a chance of heavy rainfall in the coming days as well therefore, after due consideration of the current situation and in order to safeguard the safety and security of students and employees.

The private school functioning in Sub-division Nirmand affiliated with CBSC and ICSC and any other board may take their own decision in this regard keeping in view if the safety and security of school children and employees.  

The state recorded a death toll of 158 people and 189 sustained injuries. 9969 houses, 236 shops 1648 cowsheds are damaged in the state rendering a total loss of tune to Rs 5115.83 Cr. The state recorded 66 incidents of landslide and 48 Flashfloods.
