Rain fury likely to increase in the state: Himachal police kept on high alert

Himachal Pradesh Government has ordered the state police force to remain ready on this high alert in the wake of possible rain fury and continuous Monsoon pour.

A Media Advisory issued by the state Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu said that due to continuous heavy rainfall in many places of the State, high probability of caved roads, collapsing Buildings, rockslides, landslides & mudslides, rising Water levels in the rivers, streams and sudden discharge of Water from dams in a short notice and overworked Hospitals police force was kept on alert.

In order to ensure the safety of the general public, the DGP-HP directed all the district Superintendents of Police in HP to be on alert and advise the hospitals to be in readiness and safe. 

Besides this district SPs, SDPOs and SHOs have also been advised to regularly update the general public through Social Media and other general media platforms regarding movement in the State during inclement weather conditions.

The general public is advised to stay alert and stay safe. They should avoid unessential travel.
