Maash dal given to BPL families under the public distribution system has now become costlier by Rs 4. These consumers will get these pulses at the depot for Rs 63 per kg. Earlier this pulse was being given at Rs 59 per kg. At the same time, APL consumers will now get Malka Dal at the rate of Rs 73 per kg instead of Rs 64. There has been an increase of Rs 9 in this. 19.5 lakh families in Himachal Pradesh will have to bear the burden of this inflation.
Bindal said that the previous BJP government had reduced diesel by Rs 7, which was increased by Congress as soon as it came and made diesel costlier by Rs 7, due to which the people of Himachal are facing a huge loss of about Rs 1500 crore and this is leading to inflation.
