Himachal’s Ritu Negi captain of the Indian women’s Kabaddi team selected for Arjun Award

The National Sports Awards 2023 have been announced on Wednesday.  There has been a wave of happiness in the district due to Sirmaur’s daughter being selected for the Arjun Award.  Ritu Negi is the captain of the Indian women’s Kabaddi team.

 The Indian women’s Kabaddi team, under the leadership of Himachal’s daughter Ritu Negi, had created history by winning the gold medal in the Asian Games.  Ritu Negi is a resident of Sharog village of Shillai assembly constituency.

 Around 26 players from across the country including Kabaddi player Ritu Negi from Sirmaur district will receive the Arjun Award.  Today, when the Indian Sports Awards for the year 2023 were announced, Ritu Negi’s name was also included in the list.

 There will be a special event for the National Sports Awards at Rashtrapati Bhavan.  This time the program has been scheduled for January 9, 2024.  Ritu Negi will also be given Arjun Award in the same program.
