Health services affected in HP after week long Pen down strike by resident doctor

Health Services affected in Himachal Pradesh after week long pen down strike in all State Hospital snd Indra Gandhi Medical College Hospital. Resident doctors are one  hour pen down strike in the state to be extended one and half hour from Monday. Report arriving here said that health services affected  across all the district.  Doctors have also warned the Administeration that he would not go to OPD on Tuesday.  In such a situation, patients may have to face problems.  President of Himachal Medical Officers Association (HMO) Dr.  Anupam Bandhan said in a press release that doctors will have one and a half hour pen down in IGMC on Monday.  Similarly, the district hospitals will be on strike for the whole day.  Before going to  strike, the doctors had met Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur  regarding their demands but their concern and demands are not resolved sofar.  HMO satated  that they were pressing to implement pay and promotions scale of 4-9-14 to doctors which was indiscriminately withdrawn   in the new pay commission.  The rate amount of postgraduate allowance of specialist doctors has not been increased for many years,  should also be increased soon.  Academic due allowance has not yet been given to the faculty members serving in the medical college.  Health Secretary have already being directed by the chief minister to follow the demamds of  union officials but even after three days, the Health Secretary has not spoken to them on above issuse.  The union also warned Goverment that the time given for the pen down strike is ending on Monday and complete strike by the doctors would cause suffering to patients which are already on receiving end.
