Govt protecting culprits of Crime against women : AIDWA
State unit of All India Democratic Womens’ Association Himachal Pradesh expressed anger against the recent incident of molestation of the girl student in Rohru Subdivision of Shimla district.
State Mahila Samiti and state AIDWA unit Secretary Falma Chauhan said in s press statement that Jai Ram Thakur Government is protecting the culprits instead of helping the victims of crime against women.
She said that AIDWA is repeatedly demanding to constitute sexual harassment committees in every office and educational institutions however such committee are being constituted after the incidence to hush up the crime rather investigating this matter immediately.
She said that Sexual harrssment committee in Seema College Rohru should siezed over the matter in its own hands to deliver justice with the students as allegations of crime is levelled against the principal of Institution.
Taking strict notice of the alleged incident Janwadi Mahila Samiti that as the government is not able to provide security to women till couple of days of crime it shows that government is standing with the accused rather to help the victim.
Soon after 2017 henious murder and rape case of Gudiya Ms Falma Chauhan said Jai Ram Thakur Government came in the power after making big promises for women’s safety, but today the it’s stands on the various crime against women recorded no change.
AIDWA sought strict action should be taken against the accused principal of Seema College at the earliest.
She said that increasing gap in the sex ratio of men to women in the state during last ten years showed that Goverment couldn’t deliver on the front of gender justice.
