Evacuated students from Manipur call on CM Sukhu at New Delhi

Students who were stranded in Manipur reached Delhi on Monday late evening and called on Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at Himachal Sadan, New Delhi, and thanked him for the noble gesture.

It was due to the personal intervention of the Chief Minister that the Himachali children who were pursuing higher studies at Manipur were evacuated through a special flight Monday morning from Imphal to Kolkata and thereafter to Delhi.

The Chief Minister had borne the entire traveling expenses from his pocket to bring the children back from the strife-torn State.
