Congress party ticket will be given to the candidate who can win: Bhakta Charan Das

Former Union Minister Bhakta Charan Das, chairman of the screening committee for the state Lok Sabha elections appointed by the All India Congress Committee, has said that the party ticket will be given only to the candidate who has the potential to win. He has said that the candidate will be selected only after a complete investigation based on a party survey. There will be no nepotism in this.

Today, while talking to the state party leaders and party ticket aspirants at the state Congress headquarters Rajiv Bhawan, Bhakta Charan Das made it clear that all the applications for party tickets will be considered with full sincerity. He said that the final decision will be taken by the Central Election Committee of All India Congress Committee which will be acceptable to all. He said that whoever is given a party ticket, everyone will have to work unitedly. He said that any kind of indiscipline will not be tolerated in the party.

Bhakta Charan Das said that any party leader or party worker can apply for a party ticket. He said that a total of 37 applications have been received for four Lok Sabha seats in Himachal Pradesh and all those applications will be placed before the screening committee in the meeting.

During this, Bhakta Charan Das also took feedback from party leaders and party ticket applicants at the State Congress office on their preparations for the Lok Sabha elections. He said that strong candidates will be declared soon for all four Lok Sabha seats in the state.
