Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed grief over the demise of General Secretary All India Congress Committee and former Chief Minister of Kerala Oommen Chandy, who passed away at Bengaluru in the wee hours today. He was 79.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister said that Oommen Chandy remained Chief Minister of Kerala twice and this State had progressed by leaps and bounds during his stint as the Chief Minister. He said that his contributions for the development of Kerala State would always be remembered. He had immensely contributed for strengthening the Congress Party at the grass root level, he added.
Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu prayed to the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.
