Center closely monitoring the situation arising out of bad weather in Himachal: Anurag Thakur
Union Minister for Information Broadcasting and Sports and Youth Affairs, Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur spoke to Chief Minister Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and BJP State President Mr. Rajeev Bindal on the phone keeping in mind the situation created due to heavy rains and floods in Himachal Pradesh. Took stock of the situation after talks and said that the central government will keep a close watch on the situation.
Shri Anurag Thakur said, “The hill state of Himachal Pradesh has to face different types of natural calamities due to its geographical complexity and change of weather. For the last few days, floods and landslides are being seen in Himachal due to heavy rains. The incidents of loss of life and property due to heavy rains are deplorable. The local administration is engaged in relief and rescue operations with full readiness, in which the public is getting full cooperation. I have had a detailed discussion with Chief Minister Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu ji and BJP State President Mr. Rajeev Bindal ji on many points keeping in mind the situation created due to rains and floods.
During this, Mr. Thakur told that the central government is constantly keeping an eye on Himachal. He said, “The central government is monitoring the situation in Himachal very seriously. We are fully prepared to deal with any untoward incident and all necessary help will be provided to the state government.” Helping people in every possible way by getting down to the level.
