BJP’s promise of giving 40 thousand liters of free water is a lie: Sukhwinder Sukhu

The Congress party is working hard to capture the power of Shimla Municipal Corporation. State Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is handling the election campaign. He campaigned heavily in the city for the second consecutive day on Friday and appealed to vote in favor of the Congress candidates. The Chief Minister appealed for the victory of the Congress candidates by holding street meetings in eight wards of the city.

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu started the election campaign from ward number eight Baluganj, where he sought votes for Congress candidate Dalip Thapa. He said that the BJP’s promise of 40 thousand liters of free drinking water supply in Shimla town is a lie. Shimla did nothing for the city when the triple engine government was in power, now when Congress came to power, they are showing false greens to the people of the city. In these elections, instead of the manifesto, the BJP should have released the report paper of the last five years tenure. When the BJP could not provide water to the people in its government, what will it do now?

The Chief Minister said that the BJP has crossed the limits of lying. The public should tell the BJP to stop cheating now. He said that the Congress government would restore the lost glory to Shimla city. The city will be freed from the tangle of wires and Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh had discussed it. He said that the government has sanctioned Rs 25 crores to make the city more beautiful by removing wires. The state government is also working to solve the parking problem in Shimla City. Sewerage will be arranged to provide facilities to the people of the wards which do not have sewerage lines. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that he himself has been the corporator of Shimla city, so he knows the problems of the people of Shimla city very well. He told the people to go with the government in the Municipal Corporation elections for development and make Congress candidates successful by voting. He said that relief will be provided to those who have constructed houses by violating some of the rules in the city, and their houses will also be regularised.

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu campaigned in favor of Kiran Sharma in Ward No. 9 Kachhi Ghati, Monika Bhardwaj in Ward No. 6 Tutu, and Anita Sharma in Ward No. 7 Majyath.
