APMC issues notice to violators: Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi
The state government is leaving no stone unturned for the implementation of recent decisions taken for the welfare of the horticulturists of Himachal Pradesh and the violators will be brought to book if found flouting the guidelines. This was stated by Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi while informing this here today.
He said that the Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee has issued show-cause notices to defaulters for breaching the provisions of the Himachal Pradesh Agricultural and Horticultural Produce Marketing (Development and Regulations) Act, 2005.
The Horticulture Minister said that these violators were found to have sold and purchased apple and pear fruit by lots, instead by weight. One defaulter was doing business in Market Yard, Parala without a license from the Agriculture Department. However, the other violator was not following the government guidelines for the sale and purchase of fruits by weight in Market Yard, Rohru.
Jagat Singh Negi stated that in case of being found guilty, the registration certificates of the violators will be suspended under the provisions of the act.
