Kullu-Manali Admin lift ban on Trekking activities
Kullu- Manali district administration lifted the ban imposed on Thursday on trekking activities however other adventures activities would continue to be remained suspended till September 15 this year.
Issuing revised prohibitory notification on Friday Tourism Development Officer Kullu Mr Kishan Chand said that baring Trekking all types of adventurous activities including river rafting paragliding, river crossing, zip lining, etc would be ban with effect from July 15 to 15 September, 2021.
A notification was released after the onset of Monsoon recently said that seasonal ban would remain in force till the Monsoon would not withdrawn.
State tourism department ban the adventurous activities in rainy season following the Himachal Pradesh River Rafting rule 2005, HP Aero Space rules 2004 and Miscellaneous Adventurous activities rules 2017.
On July 2, department decided to ban all type of adventure sports and activities in the valley including trekking as well however revised notification issued by Mr Chand on July 16 said that barring trekking all others activities should be remained suspended.
In the state till Jun as many as only 4, 34,955 Tourist visited the state out of which 164578 to Kullu district and 87,153 in Shimla district.
