Shimla police claims 130 per cent increase in Chitta seizure
District Crime Record Bureau of Shimla District police today disclosed that it has made seizure of 130 per cent increase in Chitta ( synthetic or adulterated heroin last year. Releasing data of contraband synthetic drugs here today In-charge of DRCB Shimla stated that in whole year of 2022 the seizure of 3.850 kilograms Chitta was made in 157 cases and 250 peddlers were arrested. In the year number of cases traced by the anti-drug cell gone up by 30 pc and arrest 18 pc. Compared to previous year in 2021 district police seized around 1.780 kg Chitta booking 120 cases with arrest of 211 peddlers.
