CM Sukhu mourns over loss of lives in landslide in Kumarsain
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed profound sorrow over the tragic loss of three lives of a family in a landslide incident in Kumarsain tehsil of Shimla District.
In his message of condolence, the Chief Minister extended prayers for the departed souls to rest in peace and for the bereaved family members to find strength during this irreplaceable loss. He said that district administration has been directed to provide immediate relief to the affected family.
Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu told that keeping in view the heavy rainfall & harsh weather conditions in the state, all the Government and Private Schools affiliated with Himachal Pradesh School Education Board in the state and Government and Private Colleges affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University & Sardar Patel University will remain closed for next two days (10th July & 11th July, 2023).
The private schools functioning in the state & affiliated to CBSE, ICSE and any other Education Board may take the decision regarding closing of their schools, for two days at their own level keeping in view their exigencies i.e. ongoing exams etc. & local weather conditions. It is further advised that safety & security of the students & employees be ensured at every level, he added.
The Chief Minister said that the in view of bad weather forecast, state government has alerted concerned district administration for safety measures and to aware general public of the same.
He also appealed to the people of the state to avoid going near the rivers and nallahs besides remaining vigilant amidst the ongoing adverse weather conditions as per the warning issues by metrological department He also urged public to cooperate with the district administration and abide by the advisories issued by the authorities
