Sudhir tarnished the legacy of Pandit Santram: Congress
Senior Congress leader from Dharamshala Vijayindra Karna and former mayor Devendra Jaggi have said that the legacy of former minister Pandit Santram has been tarnished by former MLA Sudhir Sharma. Even Santram ji’s soul must be crying if Sudhir joins BJP. While handing over his inheritance to Sudhir, Pandit ji would never have imagined that his son would flourish. Sudhir had lost the trust of the party high command while in Congress, hence he was not given any responsibility in the government.
Karna and Jaggi said that the people of Dharamshala have lost faith in Sudhir. He has lost his credibility, his actions are such that the people of the area are ashamed. By selling his honor to BJP, Sudhir proved that he can betray anyone at any time. He had betrayed the party earlier also, when he had backed out from contesting the by-elections. Sudhir’s politics has been selfish since the beginning. He does politics for personal gain and not for public interest. This is the reason why during the tenure of the Congress government, they did not make any efforts to accelerate the work of Dharamshala Smart City. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu himself monitored the work of the Smart City and continued issuing directions to the Municipal Corporation officials.
He said that Sudhir is no longer capable of any responsibility. People had made him the MLA of Dharamshala with great expectations, but instead of getting people’s work done, he gave importance to his own ambitions and sold himself in the political market of BJP within 14 months. Now the public will not make him MLA again. The public needs public servants, not money servants. People have decided to teach a lesson to the former Congress MLAs who were sold for Rs 15 crore each. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur and sold-out MLAs will get satisfaction on June 4.
