Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Code to be Enforced in Sanjauli Area on September 11 : District Magistrate

  • Schools, colleges, government and private offices, and markets will remain open as usual

In a proactive step to maintain law and order in the Sanjauli area of Shimla city, the district administration has issued effective measures. Daily life in the area will remain unaffected.

District Magistrate Anupam Kashyap stated that under the powers vested in Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Code 2023, an order has been issued for the Sanjauli area. This order is aimed at ensuring law and order and maintaining peace in the region. It includes a complete prohibition on gatherings of five or more individuals. Additionally, carrying weapons such as firearms, sticks, spears, axes, cycle chains, sickles, swords, or any other arms and inflammable materials will be strictly forbidden.

This order will be in force from 7 AM to 11:59 PM on September 11.

He further added that daily life in the area will remain normal. Schools, government and private offices, and markets will remain open as usual, and the general public will not face any inconvenience. The administration is committed to taking strict measures to maintain law and order in the area.

No one will be allowed to hold protests, raise slogans, or go on hunger strikes in the Sanjauli area without permission. Additionally, the use of loudspeakers in hospitals, courts, educational institutions, and public places will also be prohibited. Restrictions will be placed on communal, anti-national, anti-state speeches, slogans, wall writings, posters, and similar activities.

This order will apply from Nav Bahar Chowk to the eastern portal of Dhalli Tunnel, from IGMC to Sanjauli Chowk, from Sanjauli Chowk to Chalonti, and from Dhalli (via Sanjauli Chalonti Junction) on September 11, 2024, from 7 AM to 11:59 PM.

    Who so ever may come and rule, Himachal Pradesh will always remain the land of gods. Shimla episode is temporary phase and Shimla administration has always been efficient and strong to resolve such issues speedly. Law and order machinery is very prompt and vigilent to maintain peaceful environment. All parties should unite at this hour of test to resolve all sensitive issues at the earliest.     All rules and regulations are applied for Hindus only. The land grabbers Woqf Board is legal in Bharat. Grabbing money from Hindus temples is legal. Suppressing majority Hindus and luring so called minority religion community for voting is ethical and legal.
