NSUI Protests against Manipur Violence in Sanjauli, Shimla
Congress party affiliated students union NSUI belonging to Government Degree college Sanjauli organized Dharna against Narendra Modi Government and Manipur State BJP rule for remaining failure to curb ethnic violence in the insurgency-hit Manipur.
Students gathered at Degree College gate carrying banners and pamphlets against the perpetuating violence in the state for the last three months which killed a large number of people and instigated shameful violence stripping some of the tribal women naked and parading them in the open and later ganged rape them.
, NSUI District Shimla Vice President Nitin Deshta demanded strict action should be taken against those who communalize the peaceful state and fuel scatteredness, and allow the youths belonging to various ethnic groups to take police and defense weapons.
Deshta said that the Manipur incident shamed the entire nation and soon violence should be stopped by all possible means.
Students warned that If the central and Manipur state governments do not take necessary action NSUI would not hesitate to launch a fierce agitation against BJP central government.
