Higher reaches receive moderate spells of rain and snowfall in Himachal 

The high reaches of Himachal Pradesh experienced light to moderate spells of rain or snowfall in the past 24 hours increasing the shivering coldwave in the state as the mercury plunged two to three degrees below normal.

According to Med Office Gondla had eight centimeters of snowfall, Hansa three cm, and Keylong two cm. National Highway -3 between Koksar to Darcha and Darcha to Sarchu are closed due to snowfall and National Highway 505 from Gramphu to Chotta Dara and from Tandi to Tindi and Tindi to Kadu Nallah is also closed due to landslide. The Rohtang Top Road is snowbound after one to two feet of fresh snowfall. The minimum temperature of Keylong was minus 0.6 degrees coldest in the state. 

Tourist resort Dalhousie recorded 44 mm rainfall, Bangana in Una 33 mm, Guler and Nagorota Suryana 29 mm, Arki 28 mm, Nadaun in Hamirpur 22 mm, Jubberhati and Gaggal Airport 21 mm each, Dharmshala and Palmapur 20 mm each, Una 17 mm, Manali 15 mm and tourist resort Kufri 10 mm.

The minimum temperature of Kalpa was 0.8 degrees, Narkanda 2.2 degrees, Kufri 3.4, Manali four, Shimla 6.5, Dalhousie 2.6, Chamba 7.4, Solan 8.2, Dharmshala 9.2, Mandi and Una 9, Jubberhati 9.6 and Nahan ( Sirmaur) 12 respectively. 

The coldwave persisted in the state as it was partly cloudy.
