High reaches of Lahaul-Spiti & Kinnaur snowing

The Lahaul-Spiti district police issued a fresh advisory to Tourist here this afternoon to not travel in the snowfall in inclement weather. It was  snowing in high altitude area of Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur district right now and local and Tourists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel in inclement weather or, travel only in case of emergency and leave for a safe place as soon as possible. Movement was restricted in snowbound areas as around 110 roads are already snow bound in Chamba and Lahaul-Spiti district. A police spokesman said that light snowfall has started in Lahaul Spiti and vehicular traffic couldn’t be plyed for safety of people. It was overcast in Shimla and nearby areas. Tourist resort Kufri and Narkanda received fresh flakes of snowfall however Old Hindustan Tibet National Highway between Kufri to Narkanda was open as last report arriving here. The hazy and foggy weather in rest of state also plummeted day temperature which could further dive to freezing point in many places increasing bone chilling cold wave in the state. Clear sky and dry weather conditions also flipped up the case of dust and cold allergy. Thick frost layer, black ice and and fogs are keeping the normal life out of gear. Tourist destination Manali, Shimla and Dalhousie witnessed beeline of new year revelers disrupting vehicular traffic during checkout time from hotels.
