A meeting should be called to complete the pending work of the Central University: Anurag Thakur
Former Union Minister and MP from Hamirpur Parliamentary Constituency, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur has urged the government in the Parliament House regarding the delay in the construction of the Central University that in the interest of the students, a meeting should be called soon and the pending works related to it should be completed.
Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur said, “Central University is a very big project for the entire Himachal Pradesh for the bright future of the students. In the year 2009, Central University Dehra-Dharamshala was approved in Himachal. Today, even after 16 years, this university is running in a temporary rented campus. The purpose of bringing Central University in Himachal was related to the bright future of the students. Modi government left no stone unturned in its construction, Modi ji increased the budget of 250 crores to 500 crores, for which I would like to thank the respected Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. But due to delay in giving land by the state government, lack of forest clearance and other reasons, students still have to study in rented buildings. At present, the officers who were to be appointed by CPWD have also not been appointed yet, along with this, the seriousness that should have been seen from the officers related to this is also not visible. I request the Honorable Education Minister to call a meeting on the related subjects and get the pending work related to Central University in Himachal completed soon.”
Speaking further, Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur said, “Today drug addiction has emerged as a very big problem in Himachal. To end drug addiction among the youth, the government, MPs, MLAs and society will have to come forward, only then we will be successful in saving our youth from bad addiction like drugs and making the future of India bright.”
Himachal Pradesh BJP Minority Front State President Bilal Ahmed Shah has congratulated the people of the state on Holi. He said that on the occasion of this festival of colors, Friday is also falling on the Friday of the month of Ramzan.
