Workshop on Changing Environment Organized by Action Aid Human Development Organization & Shimla Collective
Today, a workshop based on changing environment was organized by Action Aid Human Development Organization and Shimla Collective at Hotel Combermer. The program was started by school children by watering the saplings under the theme “The impact of climate change and challenges faced in North West Indian Himalayan towns”. Schoolchildren were the center of attraction. In this, GSSS Summer Hill, Snt.Edward, RKMV College,The students of Beads College also expressed their concern about the changing environment through their views. Environmentalists from Himachal, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir presented their views.
Session 1
Today’s chief spokesperson Romi Khosla joined through video conferencing. Shri Mati ADGP highlighted the role of police during the disaster. Prof. Pavana Kumari Nomadic Animal Husbandry Sabha from YK Negi Shulini University also spoke.
Session 2
Singh Negi won from Kinnaur in the second session and adv. Former Deputy Mayor Deven Khanna and Tikendra Singh Panwar expressed concern over the damage caused by climate change and said that the common people are being affected by this change. In this meeting, Dr. Meena Chaudhary AP dept. of biosciences HPUshimla and Ranjana jarate principal of Shahid Bhagat Singh Memorial School Ghanati, Dr.Rupali thakur Director Woman and Child Welfare.
