Himachal Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu left for Dubai to participate in a 2-day investors meet

Himachal Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu left for Dubai. The UAE tour of the Chief Minister is to increase investment in the tourism sector in the state. 

This is Sukhu’s first foreign tour after becoming the CM. He will participate in a 2-day long investor meet in Dubai.

The Chief Minister is accompanied by Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) Vice Chairman Raghuveer Singh Bali, CM’s Political Advisor Sunil Sharma, and four IAS officers.

 These include Principal Secretary to CM Bharat Kheda, MD Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) Rohan Chand Thakur, Director Tourism Mansi Sahay, and Private Secretary to CM Vivek Bhatia.

This visit of the Chief Minister is for 2 days. On Wednesday, the Chief Minister and other officials flew from Delhi to Dubai.

The Chief Minister will hold a meeting with investors in Dubai tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Will return to Himachal on 16th December. The tour of the Chief Minister and other officials was approved by the Center three days ago.

Chief Minister Sukhu said that he will endeavor to bring investment to Himachal. For this purpose, he is going to Dubai and will try to bring maximum investment for the state.

Dubai’s reputed company Aujan Group Holding (HGH) has shown interest in setting up a five-star hotel in the state. The government expects an investment of Rs 6,000 crore from this tour. 

The state government has also made special provisions in Section 118 for investors in the tourism sector. The Chief Minister will return from Dubai on December 17 and will attend the winter session of the Assembly in Dharamshala from December 19.

Will promote tourism in Himachal HPTDC Vice Chairman RS Bali said that the Himachal government is making efforts to promote tourism. Kangra is being made tourism capital. Efforts will be made to bring investment in the tourism sector by going to Dubai. He said that there is immense potential for tourism in Himachal. Keeping this in view this tour is being planned.

On September 28, a delegation of migrant Himachalis settled in UAE met the Chief Minister in Shimla. During that time, the Chief Minister had interacted with the expatriate Himachalis settled in UAE through a virtual medium and called for investment in tourism and he also advised Chief Minister Sukhu to come to Dubai
