Women to get 50 pc discount in HRTC buses

All women passengers in Himachal Pradesh would get 50 percent concession in the fare to women passengers in HRTC ordinary intra State buses. Decision was taken on Thursday during council of ministers meeting held here today as announcement in this respect was made by the Chief Minister on the occasion of Himachal Day on 15th April, 2022 at Chamba.It gave its approval to provide government guarantee in favour of Himachal Road Transport Corporation for raising term loan of Rs. 160 crore to buy 360 new buses or other transport vehicles. This would provide better transportation facilities to the commuters.The Cabinet also decided to provide free domestic water supply facility to the people in the rural areas of the State from 1st May, 2022. The Cabinet gave its approval to provide two free gas cylinders to the beneficiaries of Mukhya Mantri Grihini Suvidha Yojna in addition to the refill provided at the time of gas connection. It gave its approval for grant of Child Adoption Leave upto 12 weeks to the regular female employees of the State Government. The Cabinet decided to enhance the honorarium of part time workers functioning in patwar circles of Revenue Department from existing Rs. 4100 to Rs. 5000 per month. It also decided to enhance the honorarium of Lambardars in Revenue Department from existing Rs. 2300 to Rs. 3200 per month. The Council of Ministers decided to enhance the honorarium of cook cum helper under the Mid Day Meal Scheme by Rs. 900 per month from 1st April, 2022. This decision would benefit over 20650 cook cum helpers working in elementary education department. It decided to enhance the honorarium of part time water carriers working in Education Department by Rs. 900 per month from 1st April, 2022. This would benefit  581 water carriers. It decided to enhance the honorarium of all categories of teachers appointed under SMC by Rs. 1000 per month from 1st April, 2022. This would benefit 2477 SMC teachers in the State. It gave its nod to grant extension of existing One Time Settlement Scheme of the H.P. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Corporation Ltd. for a period of one year besides waiving of Rs. 2.83 crore as Margin money loan and interest thereof. This would benefit 11133 beneficiaries. It gave its approval to make considerable enhancement of salary/honorarium of the employees working in Himachal Pradesh Bal/Balika Asharams, State/ District Child Protection Units and State Adoption Resource Agency/Child Protection Services Programmes run by Himachal Pradesh Child Welfare Council. This would benefit 247 employees working in these institutions.The CoM gave its approval for opening Government Degree College at Kupvi in Chopal Vidhan Sabha area of Shimla district alongwith creation and filling up of 18 posts of different categories, besides provision of Rs. Five crore for carrying out construction activities. The Com gave its approval for opening Government Degree College at Chattri in Seraj vidhan sabha area of Mandi district alongwith creation and filling up of 18 posts of different categories, besides provision of Rs. Five crore for carrying out construction activities.  It also gave its consent to constitute Transport Appellate Tribunal to regulate all aspects of road transport vehicles in the State alongwith creation and filling up of 12 posts of different categories. This tribunal was being set up after the order of Himachal Pradesh High court recently.
