Winter session of Himachal Assembly adjourns sine die
The winter session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly adjourned sine die after remaining in session for five days and passed four new legislations and laid three Computeroller and audit General Report(CAG).
Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathan before adjourning the house informed that the house remained in session for 33 hours as the treasury benches allotted 17 hours and Opposition benches 14.30 hours. He said that the productivity of the session was 132 percent which is unprecedented in the history of this assembly. He said that during the session two new ministers were introduced and the Deputy Speaker was elected. The House passed many important legislation and resolutions during this session. He said that four important new bills were tabled, discussed, and passed in the house. Three CAG reports 41 memorandum financial reports and sumoto statements were given by various departments.
He said that during the question hours total of 260 starred and 119 unstarred questions were asked and replied in the house. Under rules, 61, 62, and 63, four, five, and one issue were raised and discussed. Under rule 101 December 21 the private member days five resolutions were presented out of which one was of the previous session and four new . During the private member days, four resolutions were discussed and one was adopted and sent for the government for implementation. One Private member resolution was transferred to the next Budget session.
The House also passed an approval to exempt from the rule of 35 meetings as only 31 house meetings were held in the house this year. Under rule 102 two issues were discussed and under rules 139 and 324, seven issues were discussed and replied.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and the leader of the opposition Jai Ram Thakur addressed the house and complimented the members of the assembly, Vidhan sabha and government employees, security staff, and media for making the session successful.
