Will make Himachal self-reliant and most prosperous state with blessings of people: Sukhu
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that he always stood with the truth no matter how harsh the challenges were and has learned in the process that truth always prevails. He added that with the blessings of the people of the state, the dream of making Himachal self-reliant and most prosperous state will surely come true. The Chief Minister made the statement while addressing a huge public gathering today at Darlaghat of Arki Assembly Constituency (AC), district Solan.
He also worshipped the local deities at the Jatar Mela before inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of Rs. 100 crore development projects for Arki AC.
The Chief Minister announced the construction of a mini secretariat at Arki and a joint office at Darlaghat that would cover various offices and the upgradation of the Primary Health Center in Diggal to the Community Health Centre. While announcing the construction of 33 KV power substations in Mangu, he said that this would solve the problem of low voltage in about 10 panchayats.
He also announced starting of science classes in the Government Senior Secondary School, Ganagughat, and the construction of an indoor stadium in Arki and opening of the Industrial Training Institute in Malaun. He said that according to the availability of land, funds would be made available for the sports ground in Darlaghat.
The Chief Minister said that land for civil hospital would be finalized for construction on its new building in Kunihar. He assured that the government will solve the problems of the transport operators of the area.
Sh. Sukhu said that he was an example that a common man with a humble background could become a Chief Minister. He stated that he was well aware of the problems of the people and in the first two state budgets, he made earnest efforts to introduce new schemes for the welfare of every section of the state.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government has fulfilled five of its assembly election guarantees in a short span of 15 months of its tenure. He said that with everyone’s cooperation, the state was rising again after bearing the brunt of the monsoon-led disaster. He added that the government has adopted a good fiscal policy which has resulted in the economy improving by 20 percent in a year.
He further stated that the six Congress MLAs, who cross-voted in the Rajya Sabha elections, and disobeyed the party whip while passing of state budget for fiscal 2024-25, have not just betrayed the party but also the people of their respective constituencies. He added that the opposition’s efforts to kill democracy would never succeed and urged the people to defeat those in the Lok Sabha elections who believe in the power of money and adopt evil practices to topple democratically elected governments.
He said that he could feel the suffering of a common man and would always strive to solve their issues.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthi expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of development projects. He said that under the leadership of Sh. Sukhu, the state’s economy was witnessing a speedy recovery. He added that the State Government has provided relief to all the disaster-affected families by releasing a package of Rs. 4,500 crore from its resources.
President of Baghal Land Loser Transport Cooperative Society Committee, Darlaghat, Jagdish Thakur welcomed the Chief Minister and apprised him about the problems of the transport operators.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, State Small Savings Board Chairman Prakash Karad, Block Congress Committee Arki President Satish Kashyap, DC Solan Manmohan Sharma, SP Gaurav Singh, various Congress Party officials and senior officials of various departments, representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions, dignitaries and a large number of local residents were present on the occasion.
Dedicates Rs. 100 crore development projects for Arki AC
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of Rs. 100 crore development projects for Arki AC.
He inaugurated Samtyari bridge built for Rs 3.28 crore on the Kandhar-Samtyari road and the science laboratory building of Government Senior Secondary School, Dhundan, built for Rs 1.29 crore.
He laid the foundation stone for widening and tarring of the Shalaghat-Kothi-Kolka-Chamyawal road to be completed for Rs. 8.09 crore, upgrading of the Piplughat-Saryanj road to be completed for Rs. 6.38 crore, upgrading of link road from Arki to Shallaghat for Rs. 11.05 crore, upgradation work of Arki-Khararatti to be completed for Rs. 8.09 crore, upgradation work of Galog-Tukana (Jokhaghati) road to be completed for Rs. 17.40 crore, upgradation work of Karadaghat to Bhawan road to be completed for Rs. 10.42 crore, Veterinary More Kotla Numhla Shiv Nagar road to be completed for Rs. 2.11 crore, 33KV power sub-station in Sarli to be completed for Rs 7.94 crore, renovation work of the old distribution network of water supply scheme in Darlaghat to be completed for Rs 6.89 crore and sewerage scheme for the remaining settlements of Arki city to be completed for Rs 2.90 crore.
He also performed the bhoomi pujan of the Government Degree College building at Darlaghat, to be constructed for Rs 14.56 crore.
