Western disturbance made no major impact in Himachal, overall dry weather spell
Western Disturbances are making no major impact on the prevailing dry weather conditions in Himachal Pradesh despite the mainly cloudy sky since yesterday.
According to Met Office High Reaches got another spell of snowfall in the high reaches and rain in st couple of places however in the rest of the state including major tourist resorts it was mainly dry in the state.
According to Met Office Koksar in Lahaul Spiti district had one cm of snowfall and Keylong witnessed snowflaked. Bharmour in Chamba had two mm of rain and Kothi in Kullu had light drizzling. High reaches including Rohtang Pass, Balachalacha, Kumzum Pass, lady of Keylong, Seven sisters hills, and Goshal Hills have had light to moderate snowfall in the past 24 hours.
Tourists resort Kufri, Manali, Dalhousie, and Narkanda are mainly dry but Mercury showed a sudden decline in the past 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department Western Disturbances responsible for rain and snowfall in the winter season failed to make a major impact as WDs advanced towards Coastal areas of Gujarati and the Western region of Rajasthan.
Till November 30 WDs may not make a large impact in dry weather conditions in the remaining part of the state.
Mercury showed a sudden decline in the state as the minimum temperature of Tourist Resort Kufri was five degrees, Shimla was 6.4 degrees, and 1.4 degrees down from yesterday. Narkanda 3.8 degrees, Manali and Kufri 4 degrees Bhuntar airport, Una, Chamba and Dalhousie eight, Jubberhati airport and Solan nine, Dharmshala and Kangra 10, Nahan 11,
However Keylong and Kalpa 1 degrees one to two degrees above normal.
