Vishwakarma Yojana workshop in Shimla: BJP

Under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, the Bharatiya Janata Party is organizing a one-day workshop in Himachal Pradesh, Shimla. Under this scheme, workers from 3 districts Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur will participate in the first phase of this workshop to be organized in the state office on 20 September 2023.

Mahendra Dharmani told that Cabinet Minister of Uttarakhand Government Shri Dhan Singh Rawat will give guidance as the keynote speaker. Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana is an important scheme of the country’s successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Under this scheme, Rs 13000 crore will be spent by the Central Government in the year 2023-24. This scheme, started for the craftsmen and artisans of the country, has been started for the “enlightenment, strength and prosperity” of this class. Under the Vishwakarma scheme, artisans and craftsmen like carpenters, tailors, basket weavers, barbers, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, potters etc. will benefit. These artisans and craftsmen will be given free training by the government.

Mahendra Dharmani said that under this scheme, an amount of Rs 15,000 will be given to the artisans for toolkit. A loan of Rs 3 lakh will be made available to artisans at affordable rates with fixed interest. He said that this scheme will promote the traditional and ancient art of the country in the villages. These artisans and craftsmen have a valuable contribution in the country’s economy in the traditional way, Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana will make an important contribution in their protection and promotion.
