State Congress President and MP Pratibha Singh has said that after becoming MP, Vikramaditya Singh will leave no stone unturned in making the Mandi parliamentary constituency an excellent parliamentary constituency. Along with experience, Vikramaditya has a vision of modern thinking and He will move ahead with everyone’s support and everyone’s development.
In a meeting with party workers in Rampur today, Pratibha Singh said that she represented this parliamentary constituency as an MP thrice. She said that she made full use of his MP fund. Along with women’s upliftment, any demand for development work in any area by the people was fulfilled. She said that former Chief Minister late Virbhadra Singh, as an MP, Union Minister, and six-time Chief Minister of the state, had given the edge to the pace of development in this region, now Vikramaditya Singh will also give that edge in the times to come. Will accelerate further. He said that giving central zone status to Mandi, IIT Nerchowk Medical College was the idea of Virbhadra Singh which has come to fruition in this area today. She said that the Rohtang Tunnel was the contribution of the Congress government. The then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had provided funds for this tunnel and the then UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi had laid the foundation of this tunnel.
Pratibha Singh said that former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur should also tell what news she gave to the Mandi parliamentary constituency as the Chief Minister. She said that he not only discriminated against Mandi headquarters in the matter of development but also did injustice to all the assembly constituencies except two. She said that there is a flaw in the intentions and policies of the BJP and the people of the state now know this.
Pratibha Singh called upon the party workers to caution people from any false propaganda by BJP and said that Congress has to win all four seats as well as six assembly by-elections in the state. For this, she asked to take the policies and programs of Congress to every home. She also asked the party workers to come to Mandi on May 9 for the nomination of Vikramaditya Singh.
