Victimisd for raising slogan, HC cancel punishment transfer
Himachal Pradesh High court cancelled punishment transfer order of a teacher for raising Slogan against Chief minister blaming the latter to be adament . The counsel for the petitioner said that on the orders of the High Court, the Education Department has given his clients choice station of Government High School Bagh station in Kupvi tehsil of Shimla district bordering Sirmaur district. Earlier he was transferred by the government to the hard area for victimising him for the demonstration outside the assembly during the budget session demanding the implementation of the old pension scheme. The teacher became popular within the Soical media and public circles for raising the slogan ‘Joiya Mama Manada Nei, Employee Ko Shunda Nei'(Jai Ram matternal uncle did not accept them and not listen to the Employees). The government had transferred Om Prakash from Halanh School in Sirmaur to Middle School Sarog under Senior Secondary School Sholi in Nankhari tehsil of Shimla district. After the transfer teacher Omprakash filed a petition in the High Court of Himachal. Which passed order in his favour canceling transfer made by Jai Ram Thakur Government.The counsel said that After the order of the High Court, the Education Department, provided him relief bt transferring him to the station of his choice. The teacher has already given joining in the Government High School Bagh in the hard area of Kupvi. In the court, the petitioner’s advocate Kulbhushan Khajuria had argued that he has served in the hard area twice. According to the transfer policy, whoever has completed this period cannot be sent to such area again. On this the High Court was asked to indicate five stations of his choice. Of these, four were from the outer district. Om Prakash, a resident of Sirmaur, is an art trained graduate.
