Kehar Singh Khachi Chairs Review Meeting with Forest Development Corporation Officials
Kehar Singh Khachi, Vice President of the Forest Development Corporation (Cabinet Minister Rank), chaired a review meeting with officials from the Forest Development Corporation and the Forest Department under Forest Mandal Noorpur on Wednesday. During the meeting, he provided necessary guidelines to the officers.
Khachi instructed the officials to expedite the disposal process of building wood at the Corporation Depot to prevent it from deteriorating. He emphasized that the state government is committed to making the Forest Corporation self-sufficient and profitable, and will provide all possible support to achieve this goal. He also urged the officers to take appropriate steps to increase the corporation’s income.
Khachi praised the corporation’s efforts, noting that the Nurpur Forest Mandal has earned a profit of ₹24 crore by selling 16,246 cubic meters of building wood so far this financial year. He highlighted that the Forest Development Corporation is progressing under the efficient leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwindra Singh Sukkhu and mentioned that the state government is making significant decisions to enhance the corporation’s profitability.
During the meeting, corporation officials raised concerns about staff shortages. Khachi assured them that he would bring the matter to the Chief Minister’s attention and prioritize addressing the staff shortage.
Ajay Sharma, the Board Manager of the Forest Development Corporation, provided detailed information about various projects being undertaken by the Corporation in Noorpur. Prior to the meeting, Khachi also inspected the ice wood sale store in Noorpur.
Former MLA Ajay Mahajan and Director of Forest Corporation Yogesh Mahajan honored Khachi by presenting him with shawls and hats upon his arrival in Noorpur.
The meeting was attended by Former MLA Ajay Mahajan, Board Manager Ajay Sharma, Director of Forest Corporation Yogesh Mahajan, Director Nitin Patil (IFS), and DFO Amit Sharma.
