Vehicular traffic resmume on Hindustan Tibet Chandigarh-Manali & Manali- Leh road
Baring Kangra district normal lives is coming on the track as three main road of state incuding Hindustan-Tibet Highway No-5, Chandigarh-Manali NH-3 and Manali-Leh highway was opened for vehicular traffic after remaining close in last 24 hrs.
The Hindustan -Tibent Highway disrupted due to heavy landsides or coming down boulders near Jakhari is restored for Vehicular traffic on Monday evening. Chandigarh-Manali- Highway which is blocked at Pandoh in Mandi due to a landslide restored early this morning.
Report arriving from Keylong said that Manali-Leh highway which remained off after landslides and flashflood beyond Keylong at number of places also opened by the BRO for vehicular traffic.
Normal lives are coming on the track after rehabilitation and rescue operation is continue in Boh village of Sahaupur subdivision of Kangra district where 15 people have been washed away in the heavy rainfall on Monday morning.
Deputy Commissioner Lahaul Spiti said that no vehicles would be allowed on Manali-Leh road beyond Jispa from today onward after 1600 hrs in the afternoon.
BRO and District administeration Lahaul Spiti decided to close down the highway after 1600 hrs daily after receiving complaints from tourists that condition of highway beyond Baralachha pass is not suitable to allow traffic in the night and wee hours.
Unless the BRO did not improved the condition of roads the vehicular traffic would not premited on the Manali- Leh highway beyond Keylong after 1600 hrs .
DC said that BRO would take one month to improve the condition of road and on the restricted road toward Leh only four by four gears vehicles should be allowed to use.
Mr Neeraj Kumar said that bike riders should avoid to venture to Leh beyond the Jipsa. Keeping in Monsoon condition Lahaul and Leh administeration would remain touch and efforts would be done to allow smooth traffic on the way keeping the safety of peole in mind, he added.
Vehicular traffic has showed sudden increase on the Manali-Leh highway after commissioning of Rohtang Tunnel and allowing of tourists without RT-PCR report with opening of state for the tourism.
