UCO RSETI opened a new sewing center for women in Peeran, 35 women will become tailor masters
A new sewing centre has started functioning in Peeran, a remote panchayat of Mashobra block, under the joint aegis of Rural Self Employment Training Institute (UCO RSETI) Shimla and DRDA, run by UCO Bank. 35 unemployed women of the panchayat will be trained in this sewing centre. UCO RSETI Director Tanya Sharma said that under the Rural Self Employment Training Programme, one month of training is provided to unemployed women in which the trainees will be provided lunch and two refreshments by the bank. After completion of the training, certificates will also be given to the women. She said that the objective of this training is to make women of rural backgrounds self-reliant so that they can become self-reliant in society and live their lives with self-respect.
Tanya Sharma informed that this is the fourth training centre opened in Peeran of Shimla district and this year a target has been set to train one thousand youth in Shimla district for which 30 training centres will be opened. She informed that under this programme run by the bank, thousands of youth have been made self-reliant by providing them free training as per their interest.
Manisha Sharma, in charge of the sewing centre, said that the training work has been started by registering 35 women in the sewing centre Peeran. She said that under the one-month training programme, women will be trained to prepare clothes like suits, palazzo suits, death, aprons etc. During the training, all the material will be provided by the bank.
