Two person involved in Rs 18 Cr Himachal Crypto Currency fraud nabbed in Gujarat
Special Investigation Team of Himachal Pradesh Police claimed arrest of two masterminds who are allegedly involved in cheating offense of crypto currency in the state.
According to police sources nabbed two accused Hemraj Rajput and Sukhdev Thakur from Gujarat yesterday. Both the accused are residents of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh and were hiding in Gujarat after committing the fraud.
SIT has arrested these accused with the help of Gujarat Police from Gir Somnath district. This is the first FIR filed by SIT in the crypto currency case. Both of them are accused of defrauding the people of Palampur to the tune of Rs 18 crore.
State government has formed a 13 member SIT headed by DIG Northern Range Abhishek Dullar. In this, SP Cyber Crime Chairman Rohit Malpani, ASP Praveen Dhiman Cyber Crime, ASP Manmohan Singh Cyber Crime Mandi and DSP Kangra Ankit Sharma, DSP Nurpur Vishal Verma, DSP Palampur Lokendra Negi and DSP Jawali Veeri Singh were included.
In the monsoon session of the Assembly, the issue of crypto currency fraud was raised by Dehra MLA Hoshiar Singh. On their demand, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri constituted a SIT and assured the House of strict action.
A crypto currency racketer are accused of alluring people with the promise of doubling their money to invest in their hard earned money. Allured by the temptation, people started investing in crypto currency.
