Two hundred renowned players honored at Chiyoga School’s annual function
The annual prize distribution ceremony was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Friday at Government Excellent Senior Secondary School, Chiog. In which about two hundred national and state level players who studied in Urant School in the year 1969 were honored. Kufri Fun Campus businessman Baldev Thakur participated in the ceremony as the chief guest and honored the players. On this occasion, international volleyball player Amar Singh Khashiya, retired Nirmala Chauhan from the Youth Services and Sports Department, and retired JE Sundar Lal Sharma were present as special guests.
Chief guest Baldev Thakur said in his address that the unique initiative taken by the Principal to honor the old students is a commendable effort that refreshes the memories of the old students of their school. He said that even before this in 2018-19, while holding the post of Principal of the school, the meritorious students of this school had been honored from the year 1964 till now.
Principal Sandeep Sharma while welcoming the chief guest said that the annual function of any educational institution is a mirror of the achievements of that school. This boosts the morale of the bright students and also inspires other children to move forward. He said that till now many players from Chiyog School have brought glory to the school and the state by participating in national and state-level sports competitions.
Schoolchildren enhanced the function by presenting colorful cultural programs.
Retired teachers Mohan Lal Chandel, Geeta Ram Verma, Laik Ram Verma, Vidya Devi, Kaushalya Devi, Usha Thakur, local head Dinesh Jogta, Sohan Lal Thakur, SMC head Yogesh Chandel along with physical teachers and parents of this school were present in the program.
