Two children washed away in Sutlej

Two children washed away in the strong current of Sutlej Thursday evening at  Rampur Bushair of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh, police confirmed. Deputy Superintendent of Police Rampur Chandrashekhar Kaith said that the clothes and shoes of the children have been found from the spot on the banks of the Sutlej river, based on the identity of which it is believed that both the children were washed away in the strong current.  Both victim were playing on the banks of the Sutlej near Khaneri when their shoe washed away along the current  in the water. Deceased identified as Pangana and Anshul Mishtu belonged to Mandi and Kullu district if Himachal. The search operation is going on since late evening with the help of police, NDRF and local people.  But till now no trace of both the children has been found, he added.
