Two children die of drowning in Baddi

Two childern died of drowning on the premises of Government Primary School Kishnpura at industrial township Baddi, on Wednesday.

Deceased were identified as Miraj (4) and Sehnaj (7), sons of Azad Ali were residents of Chinauli district of Utter Pradesh. The bodies of the dead were handed over to parents after post mortem examination.

 Preliminary investigations made by the police revealed that duo were playing outside the school complex but later sneaked into the premises and continued to play as usual. Since the area had witnessed the moderate rain on Wednesday, an under construction septic tank of the school was filled with rain water. As soon as the tiny tots reached the tank they fell down in it and died of the drowning. By the time, local people reached the school, duo had died.  The police have registered a case against the contractor and further investigation was in progress.
