Tunnels between Hanogi & Jhanoli on Kiratpur-Manali four-lane to increase tourism and convenience: Anurag
Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Youth and Sports Affairs and Hamirpur MP Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur has given his special request for the construction of tunnels between Hanogi to Jhanoli on the strategically important Kiratpur-Manali four-lane passing through Hamirpur parliamentary constituency. Expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari for accepting and building it.
Mr. Thakur said, “Respected Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has always considered Himachal as his second home, and in the same way he never left any stone unturned in giving gifts to the land of God. Kiratpur-Manali is important from a strategic and tourism point of view in Himachal Pradesh. 4- 10 tunnels are being constructed from Pandoh to Ott in the Mandi district of the lane project. Out of which 5 tunnels from Hanogi to Jhalogi have been completed. I am grateful to Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari from the bottom of my heart. Accepting my special request for the construction of tunnels between Hanogi to Jhanoli on the strategically important Kiratpur-Manali four-lane passing through my Hamirpur parliamentary constituency, he has done a commendable job of putting it on the ground.
Speaking further, Mr. Anurag Thakur said that from Hanogi to Jhalogi, especially during the rainy season, there used to be a danger due to falling of stones, etc. from the mountains and due to the water of Beas river coming on the road, it had to be closed in the rainy season, so now the passengers get rid of it. Will get and the journey will also be safe and time will also be saved. These tunnels are being opened for trial. This project will work to boost tourism and development in the area and will be helpful for local and foreign tourists, traffic will be easy, and fuel and money will be saved.
