Tremors jolt Mandi, Himachal Pradesh; No injuries or damage reported

Friday morning brought an unexpected jolt to Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, as an earthquake shook the region. With a magnitude of 3.3 on the Richter scale, the tremors were strong enough to be felt by many, prompting residents to quickly evacuate their homes in search of safety.

Fortunately, despite the alarm caused by the quake, there were no reports of injuries or damage to property. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD Shimla) confirmed that the earthquake struck at 9:53 AM, with its epicenter 5 kilometers beneath the surface. While the tremors caused concern, life in Mandi soon returned to normal, with residents relieved that the event passed without incident.
