Tragic Incident in Solan: Three Youths Die of Suspected Asphyxiation
In a heart-wrenching incident, three young men from Uttar Pradesh, living in a rented room in Rihun village near Kumarhatti in Solan district, were found dead on Saturday. The tragedy is suspected to have been caused by asphyxiation due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
According to the police, the trio had reportedly gone to sleep the previous night with a charcoal stove burning in their room. The lack of proper ventilation is believed to have led to the accumulation of carbon monoxide, ultimately causing suffocation.
DSP Parwanoo stated, “The deceased have been identified as Arbaaz (34), Suresh (22), and Suraj (27), all hailing from Rampur district in Uttar Pradesh. Their bodies have been sent for postmortem, and we are investigating the matter thoroughly.”
This tragic incident highlights the dangers of using open flames in confined, poorly ventilated spaces and underscores the need for greater awareness about safety measures to prevent such unfortunate events.
