Tractor trolley accident in Una leaves several pilgrims injured

In a distressing incident in Himachal Pradesh’s Una district, a tractor trolley carrying pilgrims overturned on the road after they visited the revered Piranigah shrine, leaving several people injured.

The accident caused immediate panic, with cries for help echoing at the scene. Emergency services quickly responded, and the injured were rushed to the Regional Hospital in Una. Medical Superintendent, personally took charge, ensuring that doctors were ready in the emergency ward to treat the incoming patients. The emergency room, along with the minor OT and emergency wards, soon filled up as medical teams began attending to the injured. Thankfully, no deaths have been reported from the accident.

Govt administrative officials of Una also visited the hospital to check on the well-being of those injured. The pilgrims, around 30 villagers from Boha in Mansa district, had been on a religious journey that included a visit to the Mata Naina Devi temple before heading to Piranigah. On their way back, the driver of the tractor lost control at a turn, causing the trolley to overturn. Approximately 20 pilgrims were injured in the accident, with five sustaining serious injuries.
