Tourist resort Manali receives 12 cm snowfall, 352 road and 3 NH snowbound
Tourist resort Manali received 12 cm snowfall in past 24 hrs however high reaches got moderate to heavy snowfall disrupting vehicular traffic in three National Highway and 352 other road in the state reported snowbound by state diaster Management authority. Gondhla(Lahul Spiti):11.50, Dalhousie(Chamba) eight cm and Kalpa 7 cm and Keylong three cm, Tourist resort two cm.
Joginder Nagar(Mandi) had 15 mm rain Kangra: 14.5 mm, Palampur(Kangra) 14mm.In the state 353 road are snowbound including NH-505 Gramphu to Lossar and NH-03 Darcha to Sarchu,i 177 in Lahaul-Spiti district, 47 roads are snow bound in Kullu district including Rohtang Pass NH-03 & Jalori Pass NH-305. 54 roads are snowbound in Shimla district ,29 each in Mandi and Kinnuar district, 14 in Chamba and two in Kangra. Manali Leh National Highway ( NH – 003 ) is closed for all types of vehicles due to snowfall . Darcha Shinkula road is closed for all types of vehicles. Pangi Killar Highway ( SH – 26 ) is closed for all types of vehicles . Kaza road ( NH – 505 ) is closed from Graphu to Kaza and Sumdo to Losar is open for 4 * 4 vehicles . Local people and tourists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel in case of snowfall.Two avalanche triggered after heavy snowfall in Tholang village of Lahaul-Spiti district simultaneously from Pirpanjal deputy commissioner Lahaul-Spiti Sumit Khimta said that more avalanche may triggered and People should take care of themselves not going in avalanche prone areas. Power supply also disrupted in 194 distribution Transformer Region in Himachal Pradesh including 125 in Chamba and 42 in Kullu. Minimum temperature plummet in last 24 hrs as Shimla 2.3 degrees, Kalpa minus 3.6, Dharamshala 4.2, Una 4, Nahan 6, Keylong minus 7.8, Solan 0.8, Manali zero Kangra 6.5 Mandi five, Bilaspur 7, Hamirpur 4.9, Chamba 5.3, Dalhousie minus 0.5, Kufri minus 1.7 and Narkanda minus 2.8.
